Becoming an  accredited endurance veterinarian enables you to be the Head Veterinarian at an affiliated endurance ride.

You must complete our online course, and officiate at 3 affiliated endurance rides under the supervision of an accredited Head Veterinarian.

The course consists of five modules that must be completed within six months of signing up. The cost is $150 + GST.

The modules are:

1. Introduction to Endurance Vetting - Rules, Regulations and Organisations
2. Veterinary Examination of Endurance Horses - Procedures and Parameters
3. Veterinary Examination of Endurance Horses - Gait Assessment
4. The Metabolically Unwell Horse
5. Treatment of Endurance Horses.

Module two is freely available to all vets at no cost.

To access the course, please  complete the registration form below. The AERA Bookkeeper will prepare an invoice for $150.00 + GST.  Once paid, the AERA Webmaster will contact you with login details for the course.  You will receive an email from Google Workspace with login details.  Once you've logged in to the Google Workspace account, open Gmail from the apps menu and you will find the invite links to the modules.  The course is hosted by Google Classroom.

Once you have completed the course, and officiated at 3 affiliated endurance rides, you will need to complete this form and email it to secretary@aera.asn.au
