Sarisha was accepted into the AERA Hall of Fame on 8 July 2023 on nomination by TEERA.

Sarisha was a truly special once in a lifetime horse. His achievements over an extensive career are notable and speak volumes.

Sarisha’s competition career is astounding. He completed almost 1000 competitive kilometres on average per year.
Deservedly Sarisha was recognised by WAHO (World Arabian Horse Organisation)
and named Horse of The Year (Australia) in 2010.
He was a talented and incredibly athletic sure footed horse, who never run out of energy.
As the years went by, Sarisha proved to be a wonderful long distance traveller, successfully competing in every state of Australia, which included numerous ship crossings from his home state of Tasmania.
Fittingly his retirement ride at the age of 22 in 2009, was the Tonimbuk Victoria Tom Quilty Gold Cup, where he achieved his 11th buckle.
